# Zomato and Swiggy orders on the POS (India)

Take Zomato and Swiggy orders on your register through UrbanPiper. New orders
appear on the register with a sound; you accept them with a prep time, they go
to the kitchen display, and each step is sent back to the platform.

BEFORE YOU START

 * Your store's country must be India.
 * The Zomato and Swiggy orders feature is on by default in the Quick billing
style. In Standard, switch it on under More > Register style.
 * You need an UrbanPiper account connected to your Zomato and Swiggy listings,
with your UrbanPiper username, API key and location ref ID.

CONNECT URBANPIPER

 1. Go to More > Online orders.
 2. Under UrbanPiper connection, switch on Take Zomato and Swiggy orders. Choose
the Environment (Staging (test) or Production (live)) and enter your
UrbanPiper username, API key and Location ref ID.
 3. Under New orders, choose whether to Accept new orders automatically and send
them to the kitchen, and set the Default prep time (5 to 180 minutes; staff
    can change it per order).
 4. Click Save.
 5. Under Webhook addresses, copy the Order relay and Status and rider updates
addresses and add them in UrbanPiper. Only the store owner sees these
addresses, and they contain a secret key — share them only with UrbanPiper.

SEND YOUR MENU

Under Menu sync, click Sync menu now. Your active products (up to 2,000) are
sent to UrbanPiper with their categories, variants and add-ons. Sync again after
you change your menu.

To take a dish off Zomato and Swiggy for a while, use Switch items off: find the
products, then click Switch off — or Switch on to bring them back.

HANDLE AN ORDER

When an order arrives, the register plays a sound and the Online orders button
at the top shows a count.

 1. Open Online orders. On the New tab, choose a Prep time and click Accept — or
click Reject and choose a reason.
 2. Accepted orders move to Preparing and appear on the kitchen display. When
the food is ready, click Food ready.
 3. On Ready, click Dispatched when a delivery leaves with the rider, or Picked
up when the customer collects it.
 4. On Out, click Complete once delivered.

Each step is sent to UrbanPiper. If UrbanPiper refuses a step, the register
shows its reason.

GOOD TO KNOW

 * Marking a ticket Ready on the kitchen display doesn't tell Zomato or Swiggy —
click Food ready in Online orders as well.
 * Online orders appear on the kitchen display; they don't print a kitchen
   ticket.
 * Stock is taken off when an order arrives. Rejected and platform-cancelled
   orders put product stock back.
 * Cancellations by the platform appear on the Done tab with the reason. Rider
details — name, phone and status — show on the order.
 * The Done tab shows the last 24 hours. Online orders are included in POS
reports: day-end sales, payments, items, staff and tax
