The order status page: thank-you, tracking, and post-purchase offers in one place
When a customer completes a payment on your store, they land on the order status page — a single page that acts as both the thank-you screen and the live order tracking page. The same link keeps working from the moment of purchase until the order is delivered, so customers always have one place to check on their order.
What your customers see
- A personal thank-you — "Thank you, {first name}!" with the order number and date.
- A delivery map showing their shipping address.
- Live order status — placed, confirmed, on its way, delivered, or canceled — each with a clear, friendly message.
- Tracking details — courier name, tracking number with one-tap copy, and a tracking link. Orders shipped in multiple packages show one card per shipment.
- Order details — contact information, delivery address, shipping method, and payment method.
- An order summary styled exactly like your checkout — items with personalizations (engraving, gift wrap, gift messages), every discount itemized, taxes, delivery charges, and the total.
- A contact link — "Need help? Contact us" emails your business address (or your account email if no business email is set).
The page automatically follows the language your customer selected on your storefront and is translated into 33 languages. It works on every plan with nothing to configure.
Grow revenue right after the sale
The moment after a purchase is when customers are most engaged. With apps, you can place offers and widgets directly on the order status page:
Post-purchase offers (first visit only)
These appear once, immediately after checkout — perfect for striking while the iron is hot:
- One-click upsells — "Add one more" or "Complete the set" offers. One tap starts a fresh, pre-filled checkout so the customer never re-enters their details.
- Cross-sells — recommend related products based on what was just bought.
- Review prompts — capture a star rating seconds after purchase, while excitement is at its peak.
- Surveys — "How did you hear about us?" converts best right here.
- Newsletter and loyalty sign-ups — turn one-time buyers into repeat customers with a discount on their next order.
Always-on order page blocks (every visit)
These appear every time a customer opens their order status link — including days later when they come back to check on delivery:
- Delivery ETA widgets — live estimated arrival dates.
- Warranty registration — let customers register their product without leaving the page.
- Reorder buttons — one tap to buy the same items again.
- FAQ and returns blocks — answer common post-purchase questions before they become support tickets.
How to add these to your store
- Open your dashboard and go to the app marketplace.
- Browse the upsell, reviews, and marketing categories, or search for the feature you want.
- Install the app — its blocks appear on your order status page automatically, in the position the app defines (below the order status card, or next to the order summary).
- Place a test order on your own store to see exactly what your customers will see.
You can install several apps side by side — for example an upsell offer, a review prompt, and a newsletter sign-up — and they will stack neatly on the page.
Building your own
If you have a developer (or are one), custom blocks for the order status page can be built as app extensions. They are simple hosted pages your app provides, placed at named positions, with a choice of showing on the first post-checkout visit only or on every visit. See the developer documentation at docs.launchmystore.io for the full guide.
