Configure shipping settings on LaunchMyStore

Your store's shipping setup controls how delivery cost and timeframe are calculated for buyers at checkout. LaunchMyStore supports flat-rate shipping per zone, weight-based and price-based rates, carrier integrations, and custom rates from delivery customization apps.

Where shipping lives in the admin

Open your admin and go to Settings → Shipping & Delivery. From there you can:

  • Define shipping zones (groups of countries / states).
  • Attach rates to each zone — flat fee, free over threshold, weight-based, or price-based.
  • Set the processing time and delivery window shown to customers.
  • Configure local pickup per warehouse.

Step 1 — Create shipping zones

  1. Click Add zone.
  2. Give it a name (for example Domestic, EU, Rest of World).
  3. Add the countries or states this zone covers.
  4. Save.

Step 2 — Add rates to each zone

Inside a zone, choose how the price is calculated:

  • Flat rate — one fixed amount per order, for example $5.
  • Free shipping — either always free, or free over a threshold (for example free above $50).
  • Price-based — tiered by cart subtotal.
  • Weight-based — tiered by total order weight using product weight values from the catalog.

Step 3 — Set processing time

The processing time appears on product pages and at checkout. A 3–5 business day window is selected by default. Update it under Settings → Shipping & Delivery → Processing time.

Step 4 — Enable local pickup (optional)

If you have one or more warehouses configured, you can offer in-store pickup as a fulfilment option. Customers pick a warehouse at checkout and pay no shipping fee.

Custom rates from apps

Installed apps with a delivery customization or shipping rate function can rename, hide, reorder, or inject extra rates at checkout. These appear alongside the rates you configure here.

FAQ

Can I charge different rates by country?

Yes. Create a separate shipping zone for each country or region and add its own rates. A zone can also cover multiple countries that share the same rate table.

How do I offer free shipping above a cart total?

Inside the zone, add a rate of type Free shipping and set the minimum order value (for example $75). The rate appears at checkout only when the cart exceeds that subtotal.

Does LaunchMyStore support carrier-calculated rates?

Yes — through carrier integration apps (for example Shippo, EasyPost, or regional carriers). Once installed, live rates from your carrier accounts are shown at checkout alongside any zone rates.

How do I exclude certain products from a shipping zone?

Use a delivery customization app to hide rates for specific SKUs, or mark the product as digital so no shipping is required.

Why does a customer see "No shipping methods available"?

It means the customer's address is not covered by any active zone. Either extend an existing zone to include their country/state, or create a new zone for that region.
