Set up payment methods on LaunchMyStore
Online payments accept cards, wallets, and local payment methods at checkout. LaunchMyStore connects to several global and regional gateways — pick the ones that cover your countries and currencies. We do not add a per-transaction percentage on top of what the gateway already charges.
Supported gateways
- Stripe — cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, 135+ currencies, regional methods (iDEAL, Bancontact, Klarna, Afterpay).
- PayPal — PayPal balance, cards, Pay Later in supported regions.
- Razorpay — cards, UPI, net-banking, wallets — for stores serving India.
- COD — cash on delivery.
- Manual / Bank transfer — offline payment with bank details shown at checkout.
- Wallet credit — in-store credit balance for returning customers.
- Regional gateways — PhonePe, Paytm, Bkash, Paystack, Flutterwave, GCash, MercadoPago, and more — install from the marketplace.
Set up a gateway
- Open Settings → Payments.
- Find the gateway you want and click Set up.
- Enter the credentials (API key + secret, OAuth, or email depending on the gateway).
- Toggle it active.
- Save.
Repeat for as many gateways as you want active at the same time. Customers pick which one to use at checkout.
Refunds and returns
Refunds are issued from the order page and flow back through the original gateway. Stripe and PayPal refund directly to the buyer's card or wallet; Razorpay refunds to the source instrument; COD refunds are tracked but no money moves (you handle the cash).
Customise the checkout with apps
Apps with a payment customization function can:
- Hide a payment method (for example hide COD on orders above $200).
- Rename it (for example "Pay with cards" instead of "Stripe").
- Reorder — put the most-used method first.

Can I run multiple gateways at once?
Yes. Activate as many as you need. Customers pick at checkout. A common combination is Stripe + PayPal + a regional gateway.
Does LaunchMyStore charge a transaction fee?
LaunchMyStore charges a flat service fee per plan (see Service fee & payment gateway charges). On top, the gateway charges its own transaction fee. Both are deducted from the payout.
Are taxes added by the gateway?
No. Taxes are calculated by LaunchMyStore based on your Settings → Taxes configuration and added to the order subtotal before the gateway charges.
How long until funds reach my bank?
Depends on the gateway and country. Stripe typically pays out in 2–7 days; PayPal can be instant to wallet; Razorpay pays the next business day. Check your gateway's payout schedule.
Where do I see failed payments?
Failed and abandoned checkouts appear under Orders → Abandoned checkouts. You can send a recovery email from there.
