POS register styles: Standard and Quick billing

The register comes in two styles. Standard suits shops that also ship orders and email receipts. Quick billing is built for fast counter billing: held bills, pay later, loyalty points, purchase orders, day-end reports and restaurant tools. It is the same register either way — the style only decides which features are switched on, and you can switch any single feature back on.

Choose a style

The first time someone who can edit settings opens the register, it asks How should your register look? Pick a style and click Use this style, or click Decide later. Stores in India see Quick billing pre-selected; everyone else sees Standard.

Until a style is saved, the register shows every feature, so nothing you already use disappears.

To change it later, open the register and go to More > Register style. Only staff who can edit settings see this screen.

Switch single features on or off

  1. Go to More > Register style.
  2. Use the switch next to a feature. Each one says whether it is on or off by default in your style, and a switch you changed shows a Changed badge.
  3. Save.

Choosing a different style resets the switches to that style's defaults.

India-only features

UPI QR payments, GST invoices (with e-invoice and GSTR-1) and Zomato and Swiggy orders only work for stores whose country is India. Outside India they stay off, even if switched on.

What happens when you hide a feature

  • Its buttons and screens disappear from the register.
  • Pay later, loyalty points, UPI, GST invoices, Zomato and Swiggy orders and the restaurant tools are also switched off for new sales.
  • Nothing is deleted. Their settings are kept and come back when you switch the feature on again.
