Add-ons let customers customise an item — a size, extra cheese, a spice level. You group the options, attach the group to products, and the register asks for the choice whenever one of those products is added.
Create an add-on group
- Go to More > Restaurant > Add-on groups and click Add group.
- Enter a Group name, for example Spice level.
- Decide the rule: switch on Required if the customer must choose, and set the Minimum choices and Maximum choices (0 means no limit). The screen shows the rule in words, such as "Pick exactly 1".
- Click Add option for each choice. Give it an Option name and, if it costs more, an Extra price.
- Under Products, click Add products and pick the products that use this group.
- Click Save.
Switch an option off when it runs out, or switch the whole group off.
At the register and in the waiter app
- Add a product that has add-ons — by tapping, searching or scanning.
- Pick the options. Extra prices show next to each one, and the Line total updates.
- Tap Add to bill.
Add-on prices are added to the item's price. The same item with the same choices stays on one line.
Where add-ons show
- Under the item on receipts and kitchen tickets, and on the kitchen display.
- On the order in your admin, as "Group: options".
- On Zomato and Swiggy, as option groups when you sync your menu. See Zomato and Swiggy orders on the POS (India).
If an option was switched off after it was added to a bill, the register asks you to choose again before payment.
