Manage inventory and bulk-edit prices
Once your catalog grows, you'll need fast tools to keep stock and pricing accurate. LaunchMyStore gives you per-warehouse inventory, a bulk editor for prices and stock, and a CSV round-trip for very large updates.
Inventory basics
- Inventory is tracked per variant per warehouse. Configure warehouses under Settings > Locations.
- Each variant needs an SKU to be tracked across multiple warehouses.
- Inventory decrements at checkout completion, not at add-to-cart.
- Refunded orders restock the variant automatically (configurable per refund).
Edit one product's inventory
- Go to Products and open the product.
- Scroll to Inventory.
- Type the new quantity per warehouse and Save.
Bulk-edit prices and stock
- Go to Products.
- Click the dropdown next to Add product and choose Bulk edit products.
- You'll see every product/variant in a spreadsheet-style view with editable columns:
- Price
- Compare-at price
- Cost per item
- SKU / Barcode
- Quantity per warehouse
- Weight
- Type new values or use the column header menu to Set all, Add, Subtract, or Multiply across the selection (e.g., raise all prices by 10%).
- Click Save.
CSV round-trip for very large updates
- From the Products dropdown, choose Bulk update products.
- Pick the catalog type — Product information or Inventory (per warehouse).
- Click Download CSV to export the current data.
- Edit in Excel, Numbers, or Sheets.
- Upload the modified CSV. The preview screen highlights changes and any errors.
- Confirm to apply.
Inventory movements
Every stock change is logged under Inventory > Movements — sales, refunds, manual adjustments, transfers between warehouses, and any inventory app activity. Use it as an audit trail.
Low-stock alerts
Open Analytics > Products to see variants below their reorder threshold. You can also subscribe to email alerts per warehouse under Settings > Notifications.
FAQ
Can I sell when stock is zero?
Yes — turn on Continue selling when out of stock on the product. It creates backorders that you fulfill once stock arrives.
What unit are weights in?
The unit set in Settings > Store details — typically kg or lb. Bulk edit assumes that unit.
Can I increase all prices by a percentage in one go?
Yes. In the bulk editor, select the Price column header, choose Multiply, and enter 1.1 to raise prices by 10%. To round to a clean price, follow with a Round to nearest.
How do I move stock between warehouses?
Open the variant, click the warehouse name, and select Transfer. Enter the destination warehouse and quantity. The movement is logged.
What happens to inventory when an order is cancelled?
Inventory is restocked automatically. You can override this per cancellation if items were damaged or lost.
