Add and manage warehouses for your store
If you ship from more than one place, you can register each one as a warehouse on LaunchMyStore. Warehouses are where your products live, and you can attach individual stock counts to a product for each warehouse you add. One warehouse is always marked as your primary location.
Why add a warehouse
- Separate stock counts per location — record how many units of a product are sitting in each warehouse instead of a single combined number.
- Cleaner records for multi-site businesses — useful if you operate from a shop, a storeroom, and a third-party fulfillment partner.
- Tied into your store address — your primary warehouse address is what carriers and tax tools use as your origin.
Add a new warehouse
- From your admin, open Settings and choose Warehouse.
- Click Add Warehouse.
- Fill in the warehouse name, contact person, mobile number, full address (street, area, city, state, zip), and a tax registration number if you have one.
- Save. The new warehouse appears in your warehouse list.
Set a primary warehouse
The very first warehouse you add becomes your Primary Warehouse automatically. If you add more warehouses later, each one is marked as Secondary by default. To promote a different warehouse, tick the Set as Primary checkbox on that warehouse's row — the previous primary becomes secondary in its place. There is always exactly one primary warehouse.
Attach products to a warehouse
Per-warehouse stock is set on the product itself, not in a separate inventory screen:
- Open or create a product.
- Scroll to the Warehouse card on the product page.
- Pick one or more warehouses from the dropdown. For each selected warehouse, enter how many units are held there.
- Save the product.
Products that aren't linked to any warehouse fall back to the primary warehouse for their stock count.
Edit, view, or delete a warehouse
On the warehouse list, each row has three icons:
- Edit — change the warehouse name, address, contact, or tax number.
- View — see the saved details in a read-only panel.
- Delete — remove the warehouse. You cannot delete your primary warehouse; promote a different one to primary first.
Plan limits
The number of warehouses you can register depends on your subscription:
- Starter — up to 2 warehouses.
- Gold — up to 5 warehouses.
- Platinum — up to 20 warehouses.
When you hit the limit, the Add Warehouse button prompts you to upgrade your plan.
FAQ
Can I change my primary warehouse after I've added more?
Yes. Open the warehouse list and tick Set as Primary on the one you want to promote. The previous primary is automatically demoted to secondary.
What happens to stock if I delete a warehouse?
Per-warehouse stock entries tied to that warehouse are removed with it. Edit each affected product if you want to reassign those units to another warehouse first.
Can a product be stocked in more than one warehouse?
Yes. On the product page, pick multiple warehouses from the Warehouse selector and enter a stock count per warehouse.
Do I need to add a warehouse before I can sell?
No. When you sign up, your first warehouse is created from your store address. You only need to add more if you genuinely ship from multiple sites.
