Sharing Your Store Link

Once your store is set up, the next job is getting traffic. Your store has a public URL you can share on social media, in ads, in email signatures, and on business cards.

Finding your store URL

Go to Settings → Domains. You'll see:

  • Free subdomain — e.g. yourstore.launchmystore.io. Active immediately, even before you connect a custom domain.
  • Custom domain(s) — e.g. www.yourstore.com. Active once DNS is verified.
  • Primary domain — the canonical URL search engines should index and the one used in all outgoing links from emails, etc.

Tip: set your custom domain as primary as soon as it's verified, so emails and SEO use the branded URL instead of the subdomain.

Changing your subdomain

You can rename the free subdomain (e.g. from store-abc123 to your-brand). In Settings → Domains, click the subdomain and edit it. Changing this redirects the old URL to the new one automatically.

Sharing strategies

  • Social bio — put the URL in your Instagram, TikTok, X, LinkedIn, and Facebook bios.
  • QR codes — generate one for your store URL for flyers, packaging, and trade-show booths. Use a QR code generator app or our marketing tools (if available on your plan).
  • Email signatures — include the URL in every team member's signature.
  • Product-specific URLs — share direct links like yourstore.com/products/handle to specific items in influencer or affiliate posts.
  • Collection URLs — share yourstore.com/collections/handle for campaign-specific lists like Summer sale or Best sellers.

Tracking where shoppers come from

Add UTM parameters to URLs you share, e.g. ?utm_source=instagram&utm_medium=bio. The analytics page in your admin breaks down sessions and orders by traffic source, so you can see which channels actually convert.

Should I share the launchmystore.io subdomain or my custom domain?

Always share the custom domain once it's verified. It's shorter, more memorable, and reinforces your brand.

Can I make my URL shorter?

Yes — rename your subdomain to something shorter (Settings → Domains), or buy and connect a short branded domain.

How do I get a QR code for my store?

Generate one with any free QR code service using your store URL, or use the built-in marketing tools (if available on your plan).

What if I want to share a single product?

Open the product in admin and copy the Storefront URL from the right sidebar. You can share product URLs the same way as the homepage URL.

Why does my custom domain redirect to the subdomain?

You haven't set the custom domain as Primary yet. Open Settings → Domains and click Make primary next to it.
